Nursery School Class, 9:00-Noon Tuesdays and Thursdays*
For children who are at least age two years six months by September
This class has a relaxed and homey atmoshphere, for younger children. The program emphasizes emotional, language and character development, and the arts. Children learn through playing both indoors and outdoors, with responsive teacher guidance in social skills and language. We also have process oriented art experiences, story time with fingerplays, and music time with song enactments, rhythm instruments and dance. Tuition is $120 per month.
Kindergarten Preparation Class,
For children who are at least three years nine months old by September
This older class has a little more structure, adding periods dedicated to learning about numbers and literacy concepts, more challenging fine motor tasks and longer class discussions. It continues to have long play periods for social and language development, as well as open ended art, story time, and music time. In music, this class has opportunities to learn about musical notation, and to play harmonic or rhythmic accompaniment to songs. Both classes have songs and stories related to kindness and good character traits.
Tuition is $120 per month.
*I can add a third day per week to either class, with enough interest.
